The permanent partner visa Subclass 801 or Subclass 100) is granted after the temporary partner visa requirements have been satisfied. Once granted, the it allows you to remain in Australia indefinitely as a permanent resident. Additionally, it offers a pathway to Australian citizenship.

The Subclass 801 is the onshore permanent partner visa, granted to holders of the Subclass 820. The Subclass 100 is the offshore permanent partner visa, granted to holders of the Subclass 309. Both confer permanent residency and are assessed on the same relationship criteria.
