Background

Mariam is a passionate migration lawyer at Australian Migration Lawyers who brings genuine empathy and care to every client she works with, helping individuals and families find their way through Australia's migration system.

Having migrated between countries herself, and having supported family members through their own move to Australia, Mariam knows first-hand how daunting the process can feel. It's this experience that shapes how she works with clients today, with patience, understanding, and a genuine desire to make things easier for them.

Speaking Chaldean/Assyrian and able to read and understand Arabic, Mariam is well placed to support clients from a range of cultural backgrounds, many of whom appreciate being able to discuss such an important process in a language they're comfortable with.

After completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at La Trobe University, Mariam undertook a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
