Olivia is an Australian Migration Lawyer who holds a Master of International Relations degree from the University of Melbourne.
Olivia graduated with First Class Honours in her Bachelor of International Relations from the University of Adelaide, where she also completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Olivia has experience across a variety of Australian visa subclasses and offers well-researched and reasoned migration advice to her clients.
Olivia is actively involved in the refugee and humanitarian space as a Volunteer Legal Caseworker at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Olivia is passionate about contributing to the legal profession beyond legal practice. She has a particular passion for illuminating the plight of ‘climate refugees’ - those forcibly displaced by climate change – and has previously written on the subject with her Principal, Perry Q Wood, for the South China Morning Post.
As a passionate advocate for social justice and human rights, Olivia undertook studies in Strasbourg, France, where she specialised her coursework undertaking a Certificate of European Studies at Sciences Po, and gained experience at the European Court of Human Rights. This experience motivated her to further develop her knowledge of regional human rights institutions by working at the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, Arusha, Tanzania.
Outside of the law, Olivia has moonlighted as a Wine Professional both in Melbourne and the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Indeed, when Olivia is not working she enjoys educating her wine palate, watching the latest British period drama, cooking up a storm or dancing the night away.
