Government parent visa application fees
Government charges depend on which pathway applies. Non-contributory (Subclass 103) applicants pay $6,600 for the primary applicant. Most contributory applicants (Subclass 143 or 864) pay a first instalment of $6,300, followed by a much larger second instalment of $43,600 before the visa is granted, for a total of roughly $49,900. These charges are set by the Department of Home Affairs and sit separately from other costs, such as health checks or police certificates.
Assurance of Support financial obligations
Where required, sponsors provide financial undertakings under the Assurance of Support arrangement, with the length of that obligation varying by visa subclass.
