Hoang Minh Nguyen

Minh is a dedicated and empathetic migration lawyer at Australian Migration Lawyers, whose personal journey into the profession and hands-on experience equip him to provide compassionate advocacy in migration law.

Before law school, Minh worked as a paralegal at a boutique immigration law firm in California during the first Trump administration, where he assisted undocumented immigrants facing deportation and other difficult circumstances, including abuse, as they navigated the immigration system in pursuit of permanent residency and a second chance to live and work in the United States. That experience gave him an early appreciation for how profoundly immigration law can shape a person's life, and he carried that passion with him when he moved to Australia.

Minh holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne. He has experience assisting our team with Partner and Protection visas, and is driven by the human impact of migration law and Australia's diversity and multicultural character.
